I have seen some digital pianos as well as acoustic but lots of Piano Teachers
immediately dismiss these.

2008 instruments by Yamaha, Gem and Korg are superb often with graded piano actions (even with wooden keys) superb sound and taking up small amounts of space. Be somewhat wary of  even professional musicians who dismiss digital pianos – they are obviously out of touch

I give lessons on one of the worlds most advanced digital pianos the Yamaha F01 – there's no way that I would use anything that is not exceptionally good. I’m happy to advise on acoustic instruments of course. There are different situations served well by each sort of instrument.

I am in touch with a number of genuine dealers who sell new instruments and restore instruments that were quality ones when they were first made! I can come along to their showroom and advise you about the instruments that you are considering and which one fits your circumstances.

Again I will make an objective assessment of your piano – if it is worthy of being restored or not. I then have a small number of contacts who are real restorers who charge fairly for the very great skill and consistency needed to produce a quality restored instrument.
